Bus
From the center of Mahebourg, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Royal Road. Look for a bus heading to Chamarel; you may need to ask locals for the correct bus number as it can vary. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride, which should take about 45 minutes. Get off at the Chamarel bus stop. After disembarking, follow the signs leading to 7 Colored Earth Road, which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Mahebourg to Chamarel. You can find taxis near the center of Mahebourg or call one. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm the fare before you start your trip. Once you arrive at Chamarel, ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of the Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark on 7 Colored Earth Road.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and are staying in a nearby area, you can walk to Chamarel from Mahebourg. Head west on Royal Road until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Turn left and continue walking along Route 1. Follow the road signs to Chamarel. This is a longer journey, approximately 10 kilometers, so ensure you have enough time and water for the hike.
