Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from La Paz, take the Baja California Sur Highway 1 northbound towards Ciudad Constitución. Continue on this highway for approximately 220 kilometers (137 miles). Once you reach Ciudad Constitución, turn onto the Highway 1D, heading towards the coast. Continue until you see signs for San Ignacio Lagoon. Follow the signs to Campo Cortez, where Baja Ecotours is located. The total drive is about 4 to 5 hours depending on traffic.

• Bus

  From La Paz, you can take a bus to Ciudad Constitución. Several bus companies operate this route, and the journey takes about 3 to 4 hours. Once in Ciudad Constitución, you will need to take a taxi or arrange for a shuttle service to Campo Cortez, San Ignacio Lagoon, as public transport may be limited in this area. Expect to pay around $50 MXN for the taxi ride.

• Private Shuttle

  If you prefer a more direct option, you can book a private shuttle service from La Paz directly to Baja Ecotours. Several companies offer this service, and it typically takes about 4 to 5 hours.   For a more economical option, consider using rideshare apps or local Facebook groups to find someone traveling from La Paz to San Ignacio Lagoon. You can share the ride and split costs, which can be significantly cheaper than hiring a private shuttle. Make sure to confirm the pickup point and estimated arrival time beforehand.
