Getting There

  • Bus

    From Tuxtla Gutierrez, take a bus to Palenque. Buses leave frequently from the main bus terminal, ADO Terminal de Autobuses. The journey takes about 5 hours. Once in Palenque, head to the main bus terminal in Palenque.

  • Collectivo

    At the main bus terminal in Palenque, look for a collectivo (shared taxi) heading towards Ruinas de Palenque. The collectivos are usually found outside the terminal and leave when full. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

  • Walking

    Ask the collectivo driver to drop you off at the entrance of Aluxes Ecopark, which is located on the Carretera Ruinas-Palenque Km 2.6. From the drop-off point, it is a short walk to the entrance of the park.
