Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards Puerto Escondido from your location in Costa Chica. Once you arrive in Puerto Escondido, follow signs for 'Playa Carrizalillo' or 'Playa Zicatela'. The key point is to navigate towards the coastline. You will reach a fork in the road; take the road leading to the right towards Playa Carrizalillo. The final stretch involves a steep descent down to the beach, so be cautious. Parking is available near the beach entrance, but keep in mind that there may be a small fee for parking, usually around 20-50 pesos.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from your current location in Costa Chica to Puerto Escondido. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Puerto Escondido, you can catch a local taxi or a mototaxi to Playa Carrizalillo. The taxi ride will cost approximately 100-150 pesos. If you prefer the mototaxi, it’s a bit cheaper, around 50-70 pesos. Just tell the driver you want to go to Playa Carrizalillo and they will take you directly there.

• Walking

  If you are already in Puerto Escondido and prefer to walk, head towards the beach area and follow the signs for Playa Carrizalillo. The walk is about 20-30 minutes from the main beach area, and you will need to navigate a few streets. The path includes a steep hill and some stairs, so wear comfortable shoes. This option is free but requires some physical effort.
