If you are traveling by car, start from anywhere in Costa Grande. Use the main roads towards Zihuatanejo. From Ixtapa, take Boulevard Ixtapa which eventually turns into Boulevard Paseo de Zihuatanejo. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle 5 de Febrero. Turn left onto Calle 5 de Febrero and follow it until you see signs for 'Mercado Municipal'. There is parking available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees which can vary.

Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transportation, look for a bus that travels to Zihuatanejo. Buses frequently depart from various points in Costa Grande. Ask for a bus heading to 'Zihuatanejo Centro'. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Zihuatanejo, exit the terminal and head towards the main street (Calle 5 de Febrero). Mercado Municipal is about a 10-minute walk from the terminal. Head south on Calle 5 de Febrero until you reach the intersection with Calle Mangos, then turn right. The market will be on your left. The bus fare usually costs around 10-15 MXN.
