Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from Ixtapa Zihuatanejo. Head south on Boulevard Ixtapa towards Avenida Paseo de Ixtapa. Continue straight for about 3 km, passing the marina on your left. Follow the signs towards the 'Mirador Ixtapa'. Once you reach the entrance to the Mirador, there is limited parking available. Be prepared for a small fee for parking, typically around 20-50 pesos.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mirador Ixtapa by public transportation, take a local bus from Ixtapa or Zihuatanejo. Look for buses that say 'Ixtapa' or 'Mirador' on the front. These buses usually leave from the main bus terminal in Zihuatanejo or the main road in Ixtapa. The fare is generally around 10-20 pesos. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Mirador stop. From there, it's a short walk uphill to the observation deck.

• Walking

  If you're close to the Mirador, walking is a great option. From the main road in Ixtapa, head towards the Mirador Ixtapa, following the signs. The walk is approximately 1.5 km uphill, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The path is well-marked but can be steep in some sections.

• Taxi

  For a more comfortable option, consider taking a taxi. You can easily find taxis in both Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should be around 150-200 pesos from Ixtapa, and slightly more from Zihuatanejo. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of Mirador Ixtapa.
