Walking
From the center of Taxco, head to Plaza Borda. Once at the plaza, look for the large statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe. From this statue, walk up Calle de Cuauhtémoc, which will take you through charming streets filled with shops and cafes. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with C. del Bosque. Turn left onto C. del Bosque. Follow this street for about 10 minutes until you reach the entrance of Cristo Rey. You will see the large monument up on the hill.

From the main square in Taxco, locate the bus stop near the Church of Santa Prisca. Take a local bus heading towards the Cristo Rey. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs for Cristo Rey, which will lead you to a pathway upwards. The walk from the bus stop to the monument is about 10 minutes.

While taxis are not always readily available, you can find a collectivo taxi at designated pickup spots in Taxco. Ask the driver to take you to Cristo Rey. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance uphill to reach the main entrance of the monument.
