Ferry
To reach Cenote Azul from Cozumel, begin by taking a ferry from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen. Ferries operate frequently throughout the day, typically every hour or so. Purchase your ticket at the ferry terminal located near the main square of Cozumel. Once you arrive at the Playa del Carmen ferry terminal, exit the terminal and head towards the main road (Calle 1 Norte).
Collective Taxi (Colectivo)
After exiting the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen, walk to the main road and look for the colectivo taxis (shared vans) that travel towards Tulum. The colectivo stop is usually located just a short walk from the ferry terminal. The fare is inexpensive, and the colectivo will drop you off at Cenote Azul. Make sure to tell the driver your destination when you get in.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can stroll through Playa del Carmen towards the main avenue (Quinta Avenida) and enjoy the local shops and restaurants. However, note that Cenote Azul is about 25 kilometers from Playa del Carmen, so walking is not recommended unless you're prepared for a lengthy trek. Instead, consider using the colectivo for convenience.
