From the main town of San Miguel, head south on Av. Rafael E. Melgar towards the coastline. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Carr Transversal. Turn left onto Carr Transversal and cycle for approximately 10 kilometers. The Mayan Bee Sanctuary will be on your left side, marked by a sign.
Walking
If you are in the town center of San Miguel, you can walk to the Mayan Bee Sanctuary. Start on Av. 5ta Avenida and head south until you reach Av. Rafael E. Melgar. Turn right and walk along the coast until you reach Carr Transversal. From there, you may have to walk a bit further until you see the sanctuary on your left, about 10 kilometers from the town center.
Taxi
To get to the Mayan Bee Sanctuary by taxi, find a taxi stand in San Miguel or hail one on the street. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Mayan Bee Sanctuary on Carr Transversal km 10'. The drive will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before getting in.
Public Transport
You can take a local bus from San Miguel to the southern part of the island. Look for a bus that says 'Playa' or 'South'. Ask the driver to drop you at Carr Transversal. From there, it will be a short walk to the Mayan Bee Sanctuary, which is located about 1 kilometer down the road on the left side.
