Getting There

  • Bicycle

    Start from the main square in Cozumel (Plaza Principal). Head east on Avenida 5 Norte until you reach Calle 2 Norte. Turn right and continue until you reach the intersection with Avenida 10. Turn left onto Avenida 10 and cycle south until you see signs for Carr Transversal. Follow the signs for Carr Transversal and continue approximately 10 km. The Mayan Bee Sanctuary will be on your right.

  • Taxi

    From your location in Cozumel, find a taxi stand or hail a taxi. Inform the driver that you would like to go to the Mayan Bee Sanctuary, located at Carr Transversal km 10. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Ensure you have cash (in pesos) to pay for the fare.

  • Walking

    Starting from the Cozumel Ferry Terminal, walk south on Avenida 5 until you reach Calle 2 Norte. Turn right on Calle 2 Norte and head west until you reach Avenida 10. Turn left and walk south on Avenida 10. Continue walking for about 10 km, and you will reach Carr Transversal. The Mayan Bee Sanctuary will be a short walk from the intersection on your right.

    From the main tourist area, walk to the nearest bus stop that services routes towards the outskirts of Cozumel. Board a bus heading toward the southern part of the island. Inform the driver that you want to go to Carr Transversal and get off when you reach the Mayan Bee Sanctuary stop. From there, it will be a short walk to the sanctuary entrance.
