    Getting There

    Car

    If you're driving from Eastern Mexico, head towards the highway that connects to Mexico City. If you're coming from Veracruz, take the Veracruz-Puebla highway (Mex 150D) west. Continue on this road until you reach the junction for Mexico City. Follow the signs for 'Ciudad de México' and merge onto the Mexico-Puebla highway (Mex 150D). As you approach the city, follow the signs for 'Centro' and take the exit for 'La Merced.' Once in La Merced, navigate to the address La Merced, Zona Centro, Venustiano Carranza, 15100 Mexico City. Be prepared for tolls along the highway, which can cost between 100 to 300 pesos depending on your entry point.

    Bus

    For a more economical option, take a bus from any major city in Eastern Mexico to Mexico City. Bus companies like ADO and Estrella Roja operate frequent services. Purchase a ticket to Mexico City (Ciudad de México) at the bus terminal. The journey from Veracruz to Mexico City typically takes around 6 to 7 hours. Once you arrive at the Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Pasajeros de Pasajeros (TAPO), take a local bus or taxi to La Merced for a cost of around 50 to 100 pesos. Be sure to confirm the fare before starting your taxi ride.

    Train

    While there are limited train services in Mexico, you can take a train to Puebla and then a bus to Mexico City. From Eastern Mexico, take a bus to Puebla. Once in Puebla, head to the bus terminal and purchase a ticket to Mexico City. The bus ride will take approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival in Mexico City, you can take a taxi or local bus to La Merced, which will cost around 50 to 100 pesos.

    Metro

    Once in Mexico City, you can utilize the extensive Metro system to reach La Merced. If you arrive at TAPO, take a taxi or local bus to the nearest Metro station, which is the 'TAPO' station. From there, take Line 2 (Blue Line) towards 'Tasqueña' and transfer at 'Pino Suárez' station to Line 1 (Pink Line) towards 'Pantitlán.' Get off at 'Candelaria' and transfer to Line 8 (Green Line) towards 'Garibaldi-Lagunilla.' Get off at 'Merced' station, which is a short walk to La Merced.
