Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, navigate to Playa del Carmen using the main highway (Carretera Federal 307) that runs along the coast. From Cancun, it's approximately a 1-hour drive (about 68 km). Once you arrive in Playa del Carmen, head towards Calle 14. Turn onto Calle 14 and continue until you reach the intersection with 5th and 10th Avenues. Mexico Highlights is located on Calle 14 between 5th and 10th Avenues in the Ejidal neighborhood. Make sure to find parking as nearby streets can be busy, and public parking may incur costs ranging from 30 to 100 pesos depending on the duration.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Playa del Carmen from Cancun, take an ADO bus, which is a comfortable and affordable option. Buses leave regularly from the Cancun Bus Terminal and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. The ticket price ranges from 150 to 200 pesos. Once you arrive at the Playa del Carmen bus terminal, you can walk to Mexico Highlights. Head south along Avenida 20 and then turn right onto Calle 14. Walk east until you reach the intersection with 5th Avenue. Mexico Highlights will be on your left.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct mode of transport, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber from your location in Eastern Mexico to Playa del Carmen. The cost will vary depending on your starting point, but expect to pay anywhere between 300 to 800 pesos, depending on the distance. Once in Playa del Carmen, simply tell the driver to drop you off at Calle 14 between 5th and 10th Avenues, and you will be right at Mexico Highlights.

• Walking (from local accommodations)

  If you are staying at a hotel or Airbnb in Playa del Carmen, consider walking to Mexico Highlights. Depending on your accommodation's location, you can easily navigate to Calle 14. Just head towards the beach and then move inland to find Calle 14, which will lead you towards the intersection with 5th and 10th Avenues. This is a great way to explore the town and soak in the local atmosphere, but make sure to wear comfortable shoes as it may take 10-20 minutes of walking.
