If you are starting at the iconic Teatro Juárez, exit the theater and head northeast on Avenida Juárez. Continue straight until you reach Plaza de la Paz, which should take about 10 minutes. Once at the plaza, you will see the vibrant Parroquia de Basílica Menor de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato. From here, walk towards Calle Juan Valle, which is on the right side of the plaza. Follow Calle Juan Valle until you reach Calle Ayuntamiento. Turn left onto Calle Ayuntamiento and continue walking until you see Iglesia de San José on your right at Calle Ayuntamiento 28. The entire walk takes approximately 20 minutes.

If you are starting at the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, exit the building and head south towards Calle 5 de Febrero. Turn left onto Calle 5 de Febrero and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Calle Juárez. Turn right onto Calle Juárez and walk straight until you reach Plaza de la Paz. Once at the plaza, locate Calle Juan Valle to your right and follow it until you reach Calle Ayuntamiento. Turn left onto Calle Ayuntamiento, and you’ll find Iglesia de San José at Calle Ayuntamiento 28, just a short walk ahead. This route will take approximately 25 minutes.

If you are near the Jardín de la Unión, exit the garden and head southwest on Calle de la Unión. Walk straight until you reach Calle 16 de Septiembre, where you will turn left. Continue on Calle 16 de Septiembre until you reach the intersection with Calle Ayuntamiento. Turn right onto Calle Ayuntamiento, and Iglesia de San José will be located at number 28 on your left. This walk should take about 15 minutes.
