From any central point in Zihuatanejo, head to the main road (Avenida Cuauhtémoc). Look for a colectivo taxi, which is a shared taxi that operates on set routes. They are usually white with a colored stripe. You can catch one at the designated colectivo stops or wave one down. Tell the driver you're going to Ixtapa Zihua beach. The fare is approximately 30-50 pesos per person. The colectivo will drop you off close to the beach.

Locate the nearest bus stop on Avenida Cuauhtémoc and wait for a bus heading towards Ixtapa. The buses are typically marked with a destination sign in the front window. The fare is around 10-15 pesos. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach Ixtapa, get off at the stop nearest to the beach area. From there, it's a short walk to Ixtapa Zihua beach.
