Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Matamoros, start by heading southeast on Calle 12 towards Calle 1. Continue straight for about 10 blocks until you reach the border crossing. Cross the International Bridge into Brownsville, Texas. Once in Brownsville, you can take a bus or taxi to South Padre Island. If you prefer to walk, head to the nearest bus stop on Elizabeth Street. Take the bus towards South Padre Island, which will take you directly to the island. Once you arrive on South Padre Island, walk to 4309 Padre Blvd; SPI Activities is located on the main road.

• Bus

  From the city center, take a local bus that goes towards the Brownsville bus station. Once you arrive at the Brownsville bus station, purchase a ticket for the South Padre Island Shuttle Service. The shuttle will drop you off at various locations on South Padre Island. When you get off, walk toward Padre Blvd, and you will find SPI Activities at 4309 Padre Blvd.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber) from your location in Matamoros. Simply request a ride to 4309 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597. The drivers are familiar with the area and can take you right to your destination.

• Bicycle

  If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Matamoros. Head to the nearest border crossing and cross into Brownsville, TX. From there, follow the bike routes towards South Padre Island, which will take approximately 45 minutes. Once on the island, navigate to 4309 Padre Blvd where SPI Activities is located.
