If you are currently in the Centro Histórico, head towards the main square, the Zócalo. From there, walk towards the east along Calle de Morelos. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Calzada Porfirio Díaz. Turn right onto Calzada Porfirio Díaz. After a short walk, you will see Fuente de las 8 Regiones on your left.

From the Zócalo, you can take a local bus heading towards Reforma. Look for buses that have signs indicating 'Reforma' or 'Calzada Porfirio Díaz'. The fare is typically around 7 MXN. Get off when you see the fountain, which is located at Calz. Porfirio Díaz S/N. Be sure to ask the driver to let you know when to get off if you're unsure.
