Getting There

Car Rental
If you're traveling by car from the Pacific Coast, start your journey on Highway 200 heading towards Acapulco. Once you reach Acapulco, take the Autopista del Sol (toll road) towards Mexico City and exit onto Highway 185D towards Villahermosa. After several kilometers, follow signs for Highway 180 towards Tulum and eventually merge onto Highway 295 towards Chichén Itzá. The drive is approximately 6-7 hours, depending on traffic. Be sure to have cash for tolls along the route.

To travel by bus, you can start your journey at the main bus terminal in Puerto Vallarta or any major town along the Pacific Coast. Look for ADO buses heading to Mérida or Cancún, as they frequently stop in Chichén Itzá. The trip can take upwards of 10 hours depending on your starting point.
