Getting There

Walking
From the center of Playa del Carmen, start at the famous Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue). Head south on 5th Avenue until you reach Calle 12. Turn left onto Calle 12 and continue walking until you reach Av. 10. Turn right onto Av. 10 and walk until you reach Calle 20. Turn left onto Calle 20 and walk straight until you reach Av. Benito Juarez. Turn right onto Av. Benito Juarez, and continue for about 4 kilometers. Cenote Chaak Tun will be on your left, just past the Ejidal area.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike anywhere along Quinta Avenida. Start your ride heading south on Quinta Avenida until you reach Calle 12. Turn left onto Calle 12 and then right onto Av. 10. Continue on Av. 10 until you reach Calle 20, then turn left. Ride straight until you reach Av. Benito Juarez. Turn right on Av. Benito Juarez, and continue for about 4 kilometers. Look for the entrance to Cenote Chaak Tun on your left as you approach the Ejidal area.

Public Transport (Collectivo)
From anywhere in Playa del Carmen, you can take a collectivo (shared van) to Tulum. Find a collectivo stop, usually along Avenida 5 or near the ADO bus station. Inform the driver you want to stop at Av. Benito Juarez. The collectivo will take you along the main highway, and you will need to get off when you reach the intersection with Av. Benito Juarez. From there, walk about 500 meters north on Av. Benito Juarez, and you will find Cenote Chaak Tun on your left.
