Getting There

  • Ferry

    To reach Playa Mezcalito, you will first need to take a ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. Head to the Playa del Carmen ferry terminal, located at the corner of Avenida 1 and Calle 1 Norte. Buy your ticket at the booth for either Ultramar or Winjet, both of which operate frequent services to Cozumel. The ferry ride takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cozumel ferry terminal, follow the signs to exit the terminal.

  • Taxi

    After exiting the ferry terminal in Cozumel, you can catch a taxi to Playa Mezcalito. Taxis are readily available outside the terminal. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey. Inform the driver that you want to go to Playa Mezcalito, located at Costa Este km. 44. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes.

  • Walking

    If you prefer a more scenic route, you can walk to Playa Mezcalito from the ferry terminal. Exit the terminal and head south along the waterfront promenade (Malecon). Continue walking along the shoreline for about 3.5 kilometers. Enjoy the views and stop at any beach bars along the way. Eventually, you will reach Playa Mezcalito at Costa Este km. 44.
