Although Playa Punta Esmeralda is quite close to the residential areas, you can take a colectivo (shared taxi) from a nearby location. Look for the colectivos that head towards the beach area and inform the driver to drop you off at Playa Punta Esmeralda. The fare is usually around 30 to 50 MXN. After disembarking, walk towards the beach.
