Getting There

    If you're driving from Chihuahua City, take the Federal Highway 45 south towards the town of Cuauhtémoc. Continue on this highway for about 130 kilometers until you reach Cuauhtémoc. From Cuauhtémoc, follow the signs for Highway 16 west towards the town of Creel. After approximately 115 kilometers on Highway 16, you will reach the junction with the road leading to Cascada de Basaseachic. Turn left onto this road (it may not be marked explicitly, so keep an eye out for signs indicating 'Basaseachic' or 'Cascada'). After about 35 kilometers, the entrance to Cascada de Basaseachic National Park will be on your right. Note that the road may be narrow and winding, so drive carefully. There is an entrance fee of approximately 50 pesos per person.

    From Chihuahua City, you can take a bus to Creel, which is a popular destination in the Sierra Tarahumara. The bus journey will take around 5-6 hours, and the fare is typically between 250-350 pesos. Once in Creel, you can take a local taxi or a tour service that offers trips to Cascada de Basaseachic. The taxi ride from Creel to the park entrance is about 35 kilometers and will cost approximately 400-600 pesos. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
