From the airport, take a taxi or use a rideshare service to get to the nearest public transportation hub, which is the Tijuana Central Bus Station (Central de Autobuses). Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket for a bus heading towards San Diego. The buses are frequent, so you should not have to wait long. After crossing the border into the United States, the bus will drop you off at the San Ysidro Transit Center. From there, transfer to the San Diego trolley's Blue Line towards 'Downtown San Diego.' Ride the trolley for several stops until you reach the 'Little Italy' station. Exit the trolley and head west on W Cedar St towards India St, then turn left on India St. Continue on India St until you reach W Harbor Dr, and then turn right. Walk along W Harbor Dr until you reach the entrance of the Japanese Friendship Garden and Museum located within Balboa Park at 2215 Pan American E Rd.
