Getting There

Bicycle
From the center of Tulum, head south on Avenida Tulum until you reach the junction with Calle Centauro. Turn left onto Calle Centauro and continue until you reach Avenida Coba. Turn right onto Avenida Coba and follow it until you reach the Tulum Ruins entrance. At this point, you can rent a bicycle from nearby shops if you don't have one. Continue on Avenida Coba for about 3 km until you reach the intersection with the road towards Muyil. Follow the signs towards Zona Arqueológica de Muyil, which will be approximately 10 km ahead. Enjoy the scenic ride through the lush surroundings!

Collective Taxi (Colectivo)
From anywhere in Tulum, walk to the main road (Avenida Tulum) and look for the colectivos heading to 'Boca Paila' or 'Felipe Carrillo Puerto'. Get on one and tell the driver you are going to Muyil. The ride should take about 30 minutes. You will get dropped off near the entrance of the archaeological site. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Zona Arqueológica de Muyil before you get on the colectivo.

Walking
If you are staying near the Tulum Ruins, you can walk there in approximately 45 minutes. Head south on Avenida Tulum, then turn left onto Calle Centauro. Walk towards Avenida Coba, then turn right. Continue straight for about 3 km until you reach the intersection with the road to Muyil. Follow the signs to Zona Arqueológica de Muyil, which is about another 10 km down this road. Note that this is a long walk and it’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
