From Tulum, head to the main road (Carretera Tulum-Cancún) where you can find collectivos (shared vans). Look for a collectivo that is headed towards the direction of Coba or Felipe Carrillo Puerto. The fare is around 30-50 MXN. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Muyil. The journey should take about 20-30 minutes.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Tulum. Start by heading east towards the main road (Carretera Tulum-Cancún). When you reach the main road, turn left and head north. Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the sign for Muyil. You will need to turn left onto the road that leads to the archaeological site. The ride takes about 30-45 minutes depending on your speed.

Walking to Muyil from Tulum is quite a trek, so it's recommended to use this option only if you are prepared for a long hike. Start by walking to the main road (Carretera Tulum-Cancún). Once you reach the road, head north. Keep walking for about 10 kilometers until you see signs for Muyil. After reaching the junction, turn left to head towards the archaeological site. This could take approximately 2-3 hours.
