Car
If you are traveling by car, head toward the town of Coba in the state of Quintana Roo. From Playa del Carmen, take Highway 307 north. Continue on this highway until you reach the junction for Highway 109, which will take you directly to Coba. Follow the signs pointing towards Coba for approximately 50 km (about 30 miles). Once you arrive in Coba, look for signs that lead to the archaeological site. There is a parking area available near the entrance, and parking fees are typically around 50 MXN (about 2.50 USD). The Conjunto Pinturas is located within the archaeological site, so be prepared to walk a short distance from the parking lot.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Playa del Carmen or Tulum to Coba. Buses depart regularly from the bus stations in both towns. The fare is around 40-60 MXN (approximately 2-3 USD) and the travel time is about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Coba bus terminal, you can walk or take a taxi to the archaeological site entrance, which is about 2 km away. Expect to pay around 50-100 MXN (2.50-5 USD) for a taxi. After entering the site, follow the marked paths to reach the Conjunto Pinturas, a beautiful area featuring ancient murals.
