To reach Grand Haven State Park from Muskegon, start by making your way to the Muskegon Transit Center located at 6 E. Apple Ave. Take the Route 40 bus towards Grand Haven. The bus will take you directly to Grand Haven. Make sure to listen for the stop announcements, and get off at the stop nearest to Grand Haven State Park. From the bus stop, walk south for about 5 minutes along Harbor Drive, and you will arrive at the park entrance.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Muskegon. Head towards the Lakeshore Trail, which is easily accessible from downtown Muskegon. Follow the trail north along the shoreline, which will take you all the way to Grand Haven. The ride is scenic, and once you reach Grand Haven, follow the signs to the Grand Haven State Park entrance located at 1001 S Harbor Dr. The total biking distance is approximately 12 miles.
