From downtown Grand Rapids, walk to the Rapid Central Station located at 250 Grandville Ave SW. Board the Route 6 bus heading towards the Grandville area. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of 1st St and Harbor Dr in Grand Haven. From the bus stop, it is a short 10-minute walk south along Harbor Dr to reach Grand Haven State Park at 1001 S Harbor Dr.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in downtown Grand Rapids. Head west on the Fred Meijer White Pine Trail, which connects Grand Rapids to Grand Haven. The ride is about 20 miles and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the trail signs until you reach the Grand Haven area, then continue south to 1001 S Harbor Dr, where the park is located.
