    If you're starting from downtown Lansing, head southeast on E Michigan Ave toward S Washington Square. Turn left onto S Washington Square and continue for about 0.4 miles. Then, turn right onto E Cavanaugh Rd. Follow E Cavanaugh Rd for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach Hawk Island Park, which will be on your left at 1601 E Cavanaugh Rd.

    From the Lansing Center, walk to the nearest bus stop at S Washington Square & E Michigan Ave. Board the Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA) bus route 10 (Cavanaugh) heading towards the Cavanaugh Park. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the stop at E Cavanaugh Rd. Walk east for about 0.3 miles, and you will see Hawk Island Park on your right at 1601 E Cavanaugh Rd.
