If you are in downtown Lansing, start at the Lansing City Market located at 325 City Market Dr, Lansing, MI 48912. Head south on City Market Dr toward E Shiawassee St. Turn left onto E Shiawassee St and walk until you reach S Washington Ave. Turn right onto S Washington Ave and continue walking for about 0.4 miles. At the intersection of S Washington Ave and W Michigan Ave, turn left onto W Michigan Ave. Continue walking straight for 0.2 miles until you reach S Capitol Ave. The Michigan State Capitol will be located on your right at 100 S Capitol Ave.
Public Transit (Bus)
From downtown Lansing, locate the nearest CATA bus stop. You can take the CATA bus route #1 (Lansing Connector) towards the Capital Area and get off at the stop 'Capitol / Allegan'. The bus ride should take about 10 minutes. Once you get off, walk south on S Capitol Ave for about 0.1 miles and you will arrive at the Michigan State Capitol located at 100 S Capitol Ave.
