If you are starting from downtown Lansing, head to the nearest bus stop on S Washington Ave. Take the CATA bus route 5 (Eastside). You will ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of S Pennsylvania Ave and E Mt Hope Ave. From there, walk south on S Pennsylvania Ave for about 10 minutes until you reach Potter Park Zoo, located at 1301 S Pennsylvania Ave.

If you prefer to bike, start at the Lansing River Trail. Head southeast towards S Pennsylvania Ave. Follow the trail until you reach E Mt Hope Ave, then turn left. Continue on E Mt Hope Ave until you reach S Pennsylvania Ave, then turn right. Potter Park Zoo will be on your left after about a 10-minute ride.

For a scenic walk from downtown Lansing, head east towards E Michigan Ave. Follow E Michigan Ave until you reach S Pennsylvania Ave. Turn left on S Pennsylvania Ave and continue walking for about 1.5 miles. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Potter Park Zoo, which will be on your right at 1301 S Pennsylvania Ave.
