If you are starting from downtown Lansing, head to the nearest CATA bus stop located at the corner of S Washington Ave and E Michigan Ave. Take Bus Route 1 (East) towards the East Lansing Transit Center. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop for the Michigan State Capitol. From there, transfer to Bus Route 14 (South) towards the Southland Shopping Center. After about 10 minutes, disembark at the stop for Museum Drive. The R.E. Olds Transportation Museum will be a short 5-minute walk down Museum Drive.

If you prefer to bike, start from downtown Lansing and head south on S Washington Ave. Turn left onto E Michigan Ave and continue for about 0.5 miles. Then, turn right onto S Cedar St and follow it until you reach E Kalamazoo St. Turn left and continue until you hit Museum Dr. The museum will be located on your right at 240 Museum Dr. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.
