Walking
From the center of Mackinac Island, head towards Main Street. Walk west on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Market Street. Continue straight, passing by shops and restaurants. After about 0.5 miles, you will see the entrance to the Mackinac Island State Park on your left. Enter the park and follow the signs towards the trails leading to Eagle Point. The trails are well-marked, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way. Continue on the Eagle Point Trail, which will take you directly to Eagle Point Cave, located near the coastline.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near the ferry docks. Once you have your bike, cycle along Main Street heading west until you come to the entrance of Mackinac Island State Park. Enter the park and follow the marked biking trails towards Eagle Point. The ride is approximately 2 miles, and the trails are suitable for all skill levels. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the route to Eagle Point Cave. The scenic ride will take you through beautiful woodlands and along the shoreline.
Horse-drawn carriage
Head to one of the carriage tour stations located near the ferry docks. You can book a horse-drawn carriage ride that goes towards the Mackinac Island State Park. Inquire with the driver about stopping at Eagle Point Cave. The carriage will take you along scenic routes through the park, and the driver will provide information about the area. Once you arrive near the cave, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the entrance.
