Walking
If you are starting from downtown Mackinac Island, head northeast on Main Street until you reach Market Street. Turn left onto Market Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Cadotte Avenue. Turn right onto Cadotte Avenue and walk until you see the entrance to the Mackinac Island State Park. Enter the park and follow the signs leading to Sugar Loaf. The hike will take you through beautiful wooded areas, and you’ll eventually reach the striking rock formation.

Rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in downtown Mackinac Island. Once you have your bike, head east on Main Street and then take a left on Market Street. Ride down Market Street until you reach Cadotte Avenue. Turn right and continue biking until you enter the Mackinac Island State Park. Follow the bike paths that lead toward Sugar Loaf. The ride will be scenic and enjoyable, taking you through some of the island's picturesque landscapes.
