Start at the main dock area of Mackinac Island where ferries arrive. Rent a bicycle from one of the nearby rental shops. Head east on the main road (Cadotte Avenue) toward Fort Mackinac. Continue past the fort and follow the road as it curves around the eastern side of the island. Look for signs directing you to the Round Island Lighthouse. You will eventually reach a point where you can see the lighthouse across the water on Round Island. There is no direct access to the lighthouse, but you can enjoy views from the shoreline.

Find a horse-drawn carriage tour at one of the main tour companies near the dock area. Mention to the driver that you would like to see Round Island Passage Lighthouse. The driver will take you along a scenic route, including stops at Fort Mackinac.
