    From the main street in Mackinac Island, located near the ferry docks, head east on Main Street towards the Grand Hotel. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Cadotte Avenue. Turn left onto Cadotte Avenue. Follow Cadotte Avenue until it merges into Fort Holmes Road. Continue straight on Fort Holmes Road for about 1 mile. You'll see signs directing you to Fort Holmes. As you approach the fort, enjoy the scenic views of the island's landscape and historic charm.

    Start at the ferry docks and rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Ride east on Main Street towards the Grand Hotel. Once you reach the intersection with Cadotte Avenue, take a left. Continue on Cadotte Avenue until it becomes Fort Holmes Road. Cycle straight on Fort Holmes Road for about 1 mile, following the directional signs to Fort Holmes.
