Getting There

• Walking

  From downtown Marquette, start at the intersection of Washington Street and Third Street. Head north on Third Street until you reach the waterfront. Once you reach the shoreline, turn right onto the Lakeshore Boulevard trail. Follow this trail along the coast, enjoying views of Lake Superior. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 miles. The Marquette Harbor Lighthouse will be on your left at 300 N Lakeshore Blvd. Look for the distinctive white and red structure.

• Bicycling

  Begin your journey at the Marquette Commons in downtown Marquette. Rent a bike from a local shop if you do not have one. Head east on Washington Street, then turn north on Third Street. Follow Third Street until you reach the Lakeshore Boulevard trail. Once on the trail, cycle north along the waterfront for about 1.5 miles. The Marquette Harbor Lighthouse will appear on your left at 300 N Lakeshore Blvd. There are bike racks available near the lighthouse for secure parking.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  Check the local bus schedule for the Marquette area. Board the bus that heads toward the Lakeshore Boulevard area. Get off at the nearest stop to the Lakeshore Boulevard trail. From there, walk north along the trail for about 0.5 miles. The lighthouse will be on your left at 300 N Lakeshore Blvd. Make sure to check the current bus timings and plan your trip accordingly.
