Getting There

• Walking

  From downtown Muskegon, head south on Western Avenue toward the waterfront. Continue walking until you reach the Muskegon Lake shoreline. Turn left and walk along the beach path, which will guide you toward the entrance of the Muskegon Channel. As you approach the channel, you will see the fishing pier ahead.

• Biking

  Rent a bike from a local shop in Muskegon or use a bike-sharing service. Start at the Muskegon Museum of Art. Head south on Clay Avenue, then turn left onto Shoreline Drive. Follow Shoreline Drive until you reach the intersection with the Muskegon Channel. The channel will be on your right, and you'll have a great view of the waterfront.

• Public Transport

  Utilize the Muskegon Area Transit System (MATS). Take the Route 1 bus from the downtown transfer center and ride it towards the Muskegon Channel. Disembark at the stop nearest to the waterfront area. From there, walk east towards the channel, following the signs for the fishing pier.

• Scooter Rental

  Use an electric scooter rental service available in Muskegon. Start from the Pere Marquette Park area. Ride east along the waterfront path, following the signs toward the Muskegon Channel. The scooter path will lead you directly to the channel area, where you can park your scooter and enjoy the views.
