Getting There

• Car

  From the main roads in Pere Marquette State Forest, head east on M-55 until you reach the junction with M-37. Turn north on M-37 and continue for about 14 miles. Take a left turn onto N Tippy Dam Rd and follow it until you reach Tippy Dam located at N Tippy Dam Rd, Brethren, MI 49619. The total drive should take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  Public transportation options may be limited in this rural area. You can check for local bus services that operate from nearby towns such as Manistee. If available, take a bus to Brethren and then consider using a rideshare service or taxi from there to reach N Tippy Dam Rd. Always check the current schedule and fare details before your trip.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and would like to bike, you can cycle from Pere Marquette State Forest. Head towards M-55 and follow the same route as cars.   Walking to Tippy Dam is not recommended due to the distance (approximately 10 miles from the main areas of Pere Marquette State Forest) and the lack of pedestrian paths along the roads.
