Walking
From downtown Petoskey, start at the intersection of Howard and Lake Streets. Head north on Howard Street towards the waterfront. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with E Mitchell Street. Turn left onto E Mitchell Street and continue for a short distance. When you reach the intersection with US-31, cross the street carefully. Continue walking on E Mitchell Street until you reach the entrance of the Petoskey State Park. Enter the park and follow the signs for the trails. These trails will lead you towards the outskirts of the park. Follow the trail markers until you reach Intertown Road. Once on Intertown Road, head south for about 1 mile until you arrive at Bubbling Springs Nature Preserve, located at 2295 Intertown Rd. The preserve will be on your right.

Starting from downtown Petoskey, locate the bike path that runs along the waterfront. Follow the bike path heading north. When you reach the end of the bike path, merge onto Howard Street and pedal towards E Mitchell Street. Turn left onto E Mitchell Street and continue until you reach the intersection with US-31. Carefully cross US-31 and continue on E Mitchell Street. After a short distance, you will come to Petoskey State Park. Enter the park and utilize the designated bike paths to navigate towards the southern exit. Once you exit the park, proceed south on Intertown Road for approximately 1 mile. Bubbling Springs Nature Preserve will be on your right at 2295 Intertown Rd.
