If you are staying in downtown Petoskey, start by heading north on US-31. Walk towards the intersection at the roundabout, then take the first exit onto M-119 N. Continue walking on M-119 N until you reach the junction with US-23. Turn left onto US-23 N and follow it for approximately 20 miles. You will pass through scenic areas including the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. Colonial Michilimackinac is located at 800 N Huron Ave in Mackinaw City, right off US-23. Look for the large historical site entrance as you approach.

For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local shop in downtown Petoskey. Head north on US-31, and then turn onto the bike path that runs parallel to M-119 N.
