If you are starting from downtown Petoskey, head east on E Lake St toward Howard St. Continue walking on E Lake St until you reach the intersection with US-31 N (also known as Charlevoix Ave). Cross the street carefully and take the sidewalk heading north on US-31 N. After about a mile, take a left onto M-119 N (also known as the Tunnel of Trees). Follow M-119 for approximately 2 miles, and you'll see the entrance to Pond Overlook on your right. The overlook is a short walk from the parking area.
