If you are driving within Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, head towards the Lake of the Clouds Overlook parking area. From the park entrance, take the main road (M-107) and follow it for about 7 miles until you reach the parking lot for the overlook. The parking area is well-marked and can accommodate several vehicles. There is no fee to park at this location.

Once you have parked at the Lake of the Clouds Overlook parking area, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles on a well-marked trail to reach the overlook viewpoint. The trail is relatively easy and offers stunning views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially if you plan to hike during warmer months.

There are no direct public transportation options to Lake of the Clouds Overlook within Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. However, you can take a bus to the nearest town, Ontonagon, and then arrange for a taxi or rideshare service (if available) to reach the park.
