Walking
If you're starting from downtown Saugatuck, head south on Butler Street towards the Saugatuck-Douglas Historical Museum. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Lake Street. Turn left onto Lake Street and follow it until you reach the waterfront. Once you reach the waterfront, turn right onto Water Street and continue walking along the water. This will lead you to the Saugatuck Chain Ferry. Cross the river on the ferry to get to the other side. Once you disembark, turn left and follow the path along the lake until you reach the Grand Haven State Park. The park is located at 1001 S Harbor Dr, Grand Haven, MI 49417.
Biking
If you have a bike, start from downtown Saugatuck and head south on Butler Street. Turn left onto Lake Street and bike towards the waterfront. Follow Water Street until you reach the Saugatuck Chain Ferry. Take the ferry across the river to the other side. Once you get off the ferry, turn left and continue biking along the lakeshore path until you reach Grand Haven State Park at 1001 S Harbor Dr, Grand Haven, MI 49417.
Public Transport
For public transport, you can check if there are any local shuttle services or bus lines that connect Saugatuck to Grand Haven. You would typically take a bus from the Saugatuck area to the nearest stop in Grand Haven. After getting off the bus, walk south on Harbor Drive until you reach Grand Haven State Park at 1001 S Harbor Dr, Grand Haven, MI 49417.
