Continue on M-72 for about 30 miles until you reach the traffic circle in Traverse City. Take the second exit onto US-31 South. Drive for about 5 miles and then turn left onto E. Front St. Follow E. Front St. until it becomes N. Park St. After about 1 mile, turn right onto Cass St. and follow it until you reach the end of the road. There will be parking available near the waterfront. From here, you can walk to the Hippie Tree located near the beach.
