Car
From Detroit, take I-75 N for approximately 260 miles. Continue on I-75 N until you reach exit 337 for Mackinaw City. Merge onto US-23 N, then follow the signs for Mackinaw City. Once in Mackinaw City, turn onto N Huron Ave. Colonial Michilimackinac will be located at 800 N Huron Ave. There is a parking lot available for visitors, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

If traveling by bus, Greyhound offers services to Mackinaw City from various locations in Southeast Michigan. Book your ticket online or at a local Greyhound station. Once you arrive at the Mackinaw City bus station, you can walk to Colonial Michilimackinac, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head north on N Huron Ave, and you will reach the site at 800 N Huron Ave. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.

Combination of Train and Car
Take Amtrak from Detroit to the nearest station in Saginaw or Bay City. From there, you will need to rent a car or book a ride-share service to drive the remaining distance. The drive from Saginaw to Mackinaw City is about 120 miles and takes roughly 2 hours. Follow I-75 N to exit 337 for Mackinaw City, then turn onto N Huron Ave to reach Colonial Michilimackinac at 800 N Huron Ave.
