If you're driving from Detroit, take I-75 North towards Sault Ste. Marie. Continue on I-75 until you reach the Mackinac Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow M-185 around Mackinac Island. Once you arrive on Mackinac Island, head towards Rifle Range Rd. Follow the signs directing you to Skull Cave, which is located near the eastern edge of the island. There are no cars on Mackinac Island, so parking will be available at designated areas near the ferry terminal.

To reach Skull Cave via public transportation, first, travel to St. Ignace or Mackinaw City. From either location, board a ferry to Mackinac Island.
