Make sure to get off at the stop closest to the intersection of S W Bay Shore Dr and M-72, which is the main road leading to the museum. After disembarking, walk south along S W Bay Shore Dr for about 0.5 miles. You will see the Great Lakes Children's Museum on your left at 13240 S W Bay Shore Dr.

For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Traverse City. From the city center, take the TART Trail heading east until you reach the intersection with M-72. Turn right onto M-72 and continue until you see the signs for S W Bay Shore Dr. Turn left onto S W Bay Shore Dr and follow it for about 1 mile until you reach the museum on your left at 13240 S W Bay Shore Dr.
