If you're starting from downtown Traverse City, head south on Front Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-31. Turn left onto US-31 South and walk along this road. You will pass various shops and restaurants along the way. Continue walking south for about 1.5 miles until you reach the area of Greilickville. Look for signs directing you to the waterfront area. Discovery Pier is located at 13271 S W Bay Shore Dr, which is visible from the main road. Follow the signs towards the water until you arrive at the pier.

Begin your ride on the TART (Traverse Area Recreation Trail) which is accessible from various points in downtown. Head south on the trail and follow the signs that direct you toward the waterfront.
