Getting There

    Start at the Traverse City downtown area. Head north on Front Street until you reach the intersection with Park Street. Turn right onto Park Street and continue until you reach the intersection with 8th Street. Turn left onto 8th Street and follow it to the intersection with the TART Trail. Follow the TART Trail northbound. The trail will eventually lead you to the scenic views along the Grand Traverse Bay. Continue on the TART Trail until you reach the intersection with Center Road (M-22). Turn left onto Center Road and continue for about 3 miles. Mission Point Lighthouse will be on your right at 20500 Center Rd. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings as you bike along the way!

    Begin your journey at the Traverse City Central Waterfront. Walk north along the waterfront path until you reach the intersection with Cass Street. Turn left onto Cass Street and head west until you reach 8th Street. Turn right onto 8th Street and walk until you reach the TART Trail. Follow the TART Trail northward, which will take you through beautiful wooded areas and along the bay. After about 3 miles, you'll reach the intersection with Center Road (M-22). Turn left onto Center Road and continue for approximately half a mile. Mission Point Lighthouse will be on your right at 20500 Center Rd. This scenic walk will provide you with great views of the bay and surrounding nature.

    From downtown Traverse City, take the Bay Area Transportation Authority (BATA) Route 10 bus towards the Leelanau Peninsula. Board the bus at the nearest stop and stay on until you reach the stop at the intersection of Center Road (M-22) and M-72. Once you disembark, walk south on Center Road for about half a mile. Mission Point Lighthouse will be on your left at 20500 Center Rd. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance for your return trip!
