Getting There

Walking
From the center of Marquette, head south on N Third St toward W Washington St. Continue on N Third St until you reach the intersection with Fair Ave. Turn left onto Fair Ave and proceed until it becomes the South Shore Road. Follow South Shore Road for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the trailhead for Hogback Mountain, which is located on the left side of the road. The trailhead has a sign marking the entrance to the Hogback Mountain Trail.

Start from downtown Marquette and bike south along N Third St until you reach Fair Ave. Turn left onto Fair Ave and continue straight. This road will transition into South Shore Road. Ride along South Shore Road for about 2.5 miles. Look for the Hogback Mountain Trailhead on your left. There is a parking area where you can secure your bike, and the trail begins at the entrance.

Public Transit and Walking
Take the local bus service, which has stops throughout Marquette. Board the bus that heads toward the South Shore area. Disembark at the nearest stop to South Shore Road. After getting off, walk along South Shore Road heading east for approximately 2.5 miles. You will find the Hogback Mountain Trailhead on your left. Follow the signs to the entrance of the trail.
