Walking
From the center of Nan Madol, start by heading towards the main pathway leading to the water. Follow the signs that direct you toward the coastal area. Continue walking until you reach the beach. Once you are on the beach, head west along the shoreline. You will pass by several small local shops and homes. Keep an eye out for local fishermen and boats. After about 20 minutes of walking along the beach, you will see a rocky outcrop on your left. This is a good landmark to know you're on the right path. Continue along the beach until you reach the end of the sandy area.
Hiking
Once you reach the end of the sandy beach, you will notice a trail leading inland. This is the trail to Lehnpaipohn Waterfall. Follow this trail, which may be a bit overgrown, so be prepared for some light bushwhacking. The trail will take you through a lush forest area, and you may encounter some streams along the way. Stay on the main path, and after approximately 30 minutes of hiking, you will start to hear the sound of rushing water. Continue until you reach the waterfall area. Be cautious as the last section may be steep and slippery. The waterfall is a stunning sight, perfect for a refreshing swim.
