Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, navigate to Duluth, MN. From the center of Duluth, head southeast on E Superior St toward S 3rd Ave E. Continue straight onto E Michigan St. After about 1 mile, turn left onto N 2nd Ave E. Gichi-ode' Akiing will be on your right at the intersection of N 2nd Ave E & East Michigan Street. There is street parking available, but be sure to check for any parking fees or restrictions.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) bus. Check the DTA website for the latest routes and schedules, but typically you can take Bus Route 3 or 4 that will get you close to downtown Duluth. Get off at a stop near E Michigan St. and N 2nd Ave E. From there, it’s a short walk to Gichi-ode' Akiing. The fare is approximately $1.50, and exact change is required.

  If you are staying downtown Duluth, Gichi-ode' Akiing is within walking distance. Simply head east on E Superior St, then turn onto E Michigan St. Walk until you reach N 2nd Ave E and turn left. The park will be on your right. This is a pleasant walk, allowing you to enjoy the sights of downtown Duluth.
