Walking
If you are starting from downtown Duluth, head towards the Lakewalk, which runs along the shore of Lake Superior. From the downtown area, walk east on Superior Street until you reach the Lakewalk entrance at 5th Ave E. Follow the Lakewalk path along the waterfront for about 1.5 miles. As you walk, enjoy views of the lake and the iconic Aerial Lift Bridge. Continue on the Lakewalk until you see a sign for Cascade Falls. The falls are located just off the path, marked by a small trail leading up to the viewing area.
Public Transit - Bus
Start at the Duluth Transit Authority bus stop closest to your location in downtown Duluth. Take the bus route that heads towards the Lakewalk area. You can check the DTA website or use their mobile app for real-time schedules. Get off at the stop nearest to the Lakewalk. From there, walk east along Superior Street towards the Lakewalk entrance at 5th Ave E. Follow the aforementioned path along the Lakewalk to find Cascade Falls.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start your ride from downtown Duluth. Head towards the Lakewalk by going east on Superior Street until you reach 5th Ave E. Once you reach the Lakewalk, turn onto the path and bike along the shoreline for approximately 1.5 miles. Look for signs indicating the Cascade Falls trailhead as you approach the area. Secure your bike at the designated bike rack near the falls before taking a short walk to the viewing area.
